Our 5-Step Custom PC Building Process
Step 1: Order Parts
A computer technician will work closely with you to select the perfect PC parts to match your budget and intended use. Whether you’re a gaming enthusiast, a professional designer, or a business user, we’ll ensure that you get the best custom built computer for your needs.
The cost of parts is determined by the budget you decide, giving you complete control over your investment. We never upcharge for parts. You’ll work with your technician to order them online, using your own credit or debit card. This means you’ll have the original receipts, and the manufacturer warranties are in your name. The parts picking process generally takes an hour or two, depending on the complexity of the build, and is billed at $125/hour (with a one-hour minimum). Step 2: Parts Delivery
Once the ordered parts arrive at your home or business, you’ll have two options:
Ship or deliver the computer parts to your technician.
Have your technician pick them up from your location for a $99 travel fee.
Step 3: PC Construction
Your computer technician will now build your custom PC, install your preferred OS, configure drivers, and optimize your system for peak performance. Depending on the components and complexity of the build, this process takes between 3 to 5 hours and is billed at $125/hour. Your technician will be able to estimate the build time once you’ve decided on the parts.
Step 4: System Validation
Once assembled and optimized, your computer technician will perform a series of rigorous stress tests and comprehensive benchmarking to ensure your computer is free of hardware defects and operating at its full potential. Tests include:
CPU and GPU stress tests to evaluate thermals and performance
Memory stress tests to check for stability and errors
Storage benchmarking to assess read and write speeds

I can't remember when I got such good customer service. The technician (Alex) walked me through my options and helped me do some self tests free of charge. When it was determined as unfixable (broken network card) he immediately recommended replacements and how/where to purchase.
And if I did have to call for direct service, the rates given were highly reasonable. 5 out of 5. Highly recommend.
I can’t recommend geeks on command higher, I wish there was more than 5 stars.
I have a small business and had a MAJOR hard-drive lock out issue. All of my contacts and contracts were about to be lost and it would have done irreparable damage to my business.
Even though the hard drive was damaged, they were able to retrieve all of my data and get me back up and running.
Needed to resolve some storage issues with my MacBook. Chris spent time, used all the tools in his kit and determined only an SSD hardware upgrade would truly fix the problem. He then recommended places where I could get that done and kept in touch to verify that fixed the problem. HIs problem solving approach is impressive, not the typical 'try this and tell me what happens' you often get from IT techs. I'll recommend Geeks On Command!
I had an issue with a Windows machine and gave Chris at Geeks On Command a call. After a short conversation Chris pinpointed the problem for me and lead me in the right direction in order to correct the issue with a Wi-Fi problem. Disaster struck at 2am. A large cup of tea, a 14 year old laptop without a current backup, and a dog spooked by a ladder that fell in the garage crashing atop a glass window, resulted in my laptop sitting in inches of hot tea while the cup sat on top dripping tea through the keyboard. I quickly unplugged it and did what I could but I knew it was a goner.
I called GOC, and to my utter amazement, Chris answered. He asked what had happened and I explained and said I was devastated as the computer had family videos that I cherished - not to mention all the data we all keep on our laptops, and I didn't have a backup. He told me what to do and what not to do and said Makena would attempt a data recovery and I should fear not, that there was hope and Makena would call me later in the day to make arrangements to get the laptop. Sure enough Makena called me and I was able to hand the computer off, albeit with no hope of the data actually being recoverable and I began my grieving process.
Over the next two days, Makena kept in touch with me via phone and text every step of the way. At one point the corrosion on the drive needed to be cleaned and Makena's kindness and reassurance gave me hope. When I got the call that everything was recovered - even the system files - I was over the moon happy. Makena even went out of the way to order an external drive for me and to show me how to do the restore on to my other laptop.
Chris and Makena made this disaster into an "inconvenience" that was fixable, for which I am so so so grateful.

With a looming deadline for a design job, I was having issues with Photoshop crashing on my home computer, and Geeks On Command was able to send a computer repair technician named Alex out to my house for SAME DAY in home computer services.
Alex diagnosed the problem quickly (my scratch disk space was too low), and showed me how to increase the scratch disk size to prevent future crashes. He also optimized a few other settings to improve Photoshop's performance, and took the time to explain everything to me in a way I was able to easily understand.
I'm writing this review becuase Alex was so professional and friendly, and because the same day home computer support option was super-convenient since I didn't have to be without the computer for days without being able to work..

OK, so I'm not one to normally write reviews ggod or bad but... my home computer would not boot, just a flashing yellow light. Chris spent some time on this but it was unfixable (I think a fried board or something). Chris then specked out what I wanted in a computer and actually went to the store and picked it out for me ( I paid for it tho'). Believe it or not (believe it), he was able to transfer ALL of my data, pictures, etc. somehow hooking up the old one to the new one, almost like a Frankenstein movie with wires everywhere.
About a month later I tried to install Roxio CD burning software and it would not install. I spent numerous hours with the Roxio techs with no success. i then contacted Chris again. Long story short, Chris, after spending many, many, many hours with myself and the Roxio tech, was able to successfully install it (not sure how because the Roxio techs had given up) it. It was like Chris wouldn't give up until he succeeded.
Chris went way above and beyond what anyone else would do to get me up and running. Chris will be my first call for my computer needs in the future and should be for you also.
